Church Study

Yesterday we went for a drive to Cow Bay which is just
to the west of us across Cole Harbour.

We came across this old church....built in 1896......along the shore
of the Atlantic Ocean.

It is still used today and services the local community of Cow Bay.

We parked the car and got out to look around. Sophie was very pleased to do so!
She loves new areas to explore......and there was grass there!

The object in the window above looks like a tombstone.
But after looking inside I saw that it was the end
of a wooden pew.

It was a bright sunny day with a very chilly breeze coming off
the Atlantic.

Ron and Sophie headed down to the stony beach which is another 'surfer's paradise'.

Directly across from the church one can see MacDonald Hill and House (atop that grassy hill).
This is very near 'our beach' to the right. We live beyond and to the left of this photo.

One of the things I treasure about living in Nova Scotia
is that you can find yourself being pretty much alone
no matter where you go.
Very tranquil and peaceful.
