Saturday Morning Post

Reconnecting and house-bound this week........

Back in the 70's we met a woman, June,  from London who lived here in Halifax
with her daughter Katharine.
June is an artist and this past week she is selling a lot of her paintings and everything else.

You see, June is moving to northern France to live with Katharine.
Katharine is building a house and a business in a small village
in the country. The above photo is a design of her house.

It has been 20 years since we have seen either of these two ladies.......
our lives went in different directions.
It was so good to hear from them this week
and today they are coming to our place for lunch.
Then on Monday they are off to France to begin another chapter in their lives.

June's house in the centre of the city is up for sale now.
Now we have a good reason to visit France.

These next few shots were taken from within the house the past few days.

The weather has been really cold and icy....literally icy.

This is a folk art painting in our living room. I really like the simplicity of it.....
three women laying out the cod fish to dry in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

All this ice is gone now due to the rain we got on Thursday
before the 20 cm of snow we got the same day.

We are having a real winter this year.

Sophie LOVES it!
I don't know how she did it but she found the exact spot where her bone was.
She sniffed around a bit and dived in through the snow
and there it was!
